Easily one of the best on the market

Ok...either I'm getting better at these "paint-by-number" puzzles, or Conceptis has released a whale of a collection; maybe it's both. I've preferred the O'ekaki books much more than these by Conceptis, because it seemed the mix of easy and hard puzzles was not what it should be. Likewise, I found many of the puzzles in "Paint-Doku" to just be too difficult to figure out.
That said, these new puzzles in this book are VERY well laid out, with many being 15 x 15s early on, along with some slightly larger puzzles. I've completed 16 of the first 27, ranging in size from 15 x 15 to 30 x 40, and while the 30 x 40 took me a couple of days (on and off again, I didn't sit with it for hours), I have found them easy to moderately easy to solve when following the known rules of this type of puzzle. Paper quality is high as well...no worries about erasing a hole in the paper so far. Also, when finished, you have no troubles telling what image you just uncovered (as is true in some lesser books of this type).
Only complaint I have, and it is minor, is that graphite does not seem to hold well to the type of paper they used (I feel like the solutions are fading away as the previous page rubs against the book when closed). Nevertheless, at $8.95 the book is a steal if you like these types of puzzles. Get it and enjoy - this collection is incredible. They got the title right - these images are most certainly picturesque.

Not Conceptis' best work

There are way too many small numbers just out there somewhere. Conceptis has done some very fine pictures in the past - I mean really excellent. These are not some of them.
There really are way too many independent blocks of data (some only one block long) and way too little flow to the picture. It makes the puzzle "not fun".
The quality of the pictures tends to suffer as well.
Conceptis needs to return to it's roots.

My favorite pixel puzzle book ever!

If you enjoy large pixel puzzles, this is the book for you. There are a few smaller ones in the front, but the majority are quite larger. (40-60 for example). I previously bought other books that I enjoyed, but this is truly my favorite yet. The spiral binding is also a big plus--I know longer feel the need to tear out pages in order to work a puzzle comfortably.
