Cheri Huber is the author of 19 books, including There Is Nothing Wrong with You, When You're Falling, Dive,and Time-Out for Parents. She founded the Mountain View Zen Center in Mountain View, California, and the Zen Monastery Practice Center in Murphys, California, and teaches in both communities. She travels widely and often, leading workshops and retreats around the United States and abroad, most recently in Costa Rica and Italy. She founded Living Compassion in 2003, a nonprofit group comprised of There Is Nothing Wrong With You Retreats (based on the book); Global Community for Peace: The Assisi Peace Project; The Africa Vulnerable Children Project; and Open Air Talk Radio, her weekly call-in radio show originating from Stanford University. Really makes you think

This big definitely makes you take a new, positive perspective on your life, and your journey. The workbook combines writing, drawing among other creative venues to help you dig a bit deeper into who you are, and what you want. Some of the activities take longer than others, and really depends on how much effort and time you're willing to give. Several activities can be done in one day. The questions posed are fairly simple, but the way each activity is tied together makes them more complex as a whole. While I have not completed the workbook, I do enjoy the activites, and feel more intropective from what I have completed.

The book is fairly thin, less than 1/2 inch thick. Very much like any other workbook you would have had in school. The paper inside is not noticibly thin, but markers and some pens do bleed through, but not enough to make the opposit pages unusable.

While the author makes it known that your drawings, writings ect. don't have to be perfect, if you do not have a creative side, or do not enjoy doodling and writing, this probably isn't the book for you.

Starts off strong but then completely falls off.

The book starts off well with explaining things very clearly. But as it goes on the typos begins. At first they are mere humorous distractions ($5000 - $2800 = $1200) but as the end of the book nears the mistakes get so bad as to make it completely not understandable. I was really excited when I began this book, I felt that I was really learning a lot (despite the authors expressed disdain for how most professors teach contracts). But now I am stuck reading a chapter that from paragraph to paragraph changes its stance complete with a venn diagram that is simply wrong.

That dialectic is embodied in my own academic training and professional life, so that this book is a personal statement.�I am a psychiatrist trained in anthropology. I have worked in library, field, and clinic on problems concerning medicine and psychiatry in Chinese culture. I teach cross-cultural psychiatry and medical anthropology, but I also practice and teach consultation psychiatry and take a clinical approach to my major cross-cultural teaching and research involvements. The theoretical framework elaborated in this book has been applied to all of those areas; in turn, they are used to illustrate the theory. Both the theory and its application embody the same dialectic.
